1. General terms

No contract between the customer and Tromsø Budget Tours AS shall come into existence until Tromsø Budget Tours receives full payment. The customer making the booking accepts these conditions on behalf of all members of their travel party and is responsible for payment due from the party in entirety.

2. Cancellation of standard tours

Standard tours are tours that are sold as they are through our website and through third party channels. Tickets for standard tours are transferable. If you change your mind about participating in an activity or if you are unable to participate, you may transfer your ticket to any other person without incurring extra charges. Even though we take all precautions to prevent such events, we reserve the right to cancel individual bookings or whole tours if necessary. When a tour or a booking has to be cancelled, the affected customers will receive immediate notification by email, as well was as an offer for an alternative activity. The customer has the right to decline the alternative offer, and claim a full refund instead. If you have booked through a channel that offers no option to cancel tickets, you may contact us at booking@budgettours.no to cancel your tickets manually.

2.1. Walking tours

For cancelling our walking tours, the following conditions apply:
3+ days prior to start of the tour:
Full refund
3-1 days prior to start of the tour:
50% cancellation fee
<1 day prior to start of the tour:
No refund

Some third-party portals charge booking fees which are not refundable.

3. Cancellation charges for custom tours

For all cancellations, Tromsø Budget Tours will make every effort to ensure you the best protection. However, late cancellation may result in compensation claims from hotels and other service providers. All cancellations must be sent to Tromsø Budget Tours in writing by post or e-mail (booking@budgettours.no).

For custom tours and activity packages, Tromsø Budget Tours charges cancellation fees at a percentage of the total tour package price, as follows:
For cancellation of the entire group booking:
• More than four weeks before scheduled arrival date: 0%
• Less than four weeks before scheduled arrival date: 10%
• Less than two weeks before scheduled arrival date: 20-100%
You may also cancel individual services which are part of a tour package. The above stated cancellation fees apply, based on the price of the service to be cancelled. If an individual member of the group has to cancel up to two weeks before scheduled tour arrival date, Tromsø Budget Tours will refund all expenses related to that person that have not yet occurred, such as entrance fees, meals or refundable third-party bookings from our suppliers.

4. Changes to custom bookings

All requests for changes to a booking must be made in writing from the person who submitted the original booking request. We do not charge an administration fee, but the price of your tour package may vary, depending on the additional services requested. Any cancellation of already booked services as part of a custom tour is subject to our standard cancellation charges.

5. Responsibility

Tromsø Budget Tours AS is responsible for ensuring that you receive all necessary written documents and confirmations for your tour. We are responsible for supplying your purchased product in accordance with its description.
The customer bears financial responsibility for any damages caused to property by the customer. The customer must make themselves familiar with meeting times and places as described in the product description/booking confirmation, and must show up punctually to each activity, at least 15 minutes prior to the listed starting time. Tromsø Budget Tours is not obliged to delay the departure of the group to wait for a delayed customer.

Tromsø Budget Tours cannot be held responsible for delays in departure or arrivals.
